Free Instagram Shares: What They Are, and What Actually Gets a Post Shared
There is no genuinely free Instagram shares service worth using, and we do not sell free shares either. The sites offering them fall into two groups: exchanges where you share other people's posts to earn shares on your own, and generators that ask you to sign in with your Instagram details before anything is delivered. The first costs you time and clutters your own story; the second asks for a password that no shares service needs, because delivering shares to a public post requires only the link to that post. A share on Instagram is counted when somebody sends your post to another person in a direct message or adds it to their story, which makes it the engagement that actually moves your content onto a screen it would never have reached. This page explains what a share counts, what genuinely earns one, and how our own service works: shares from a minimum of 100, priced in pounds through PayPal, with delivery starting within minutes and completing within 0-24 hours.

What an Instagram share actually counts
A share is counted when someone sends your post to another person in a direct message, or adds it to their own story. Both actions put your content in front of an account that had not seen it, which is what separates a share from every other kind of engagement.
That is why Instagram treats shares as a strong signal. A like costs nothing and a view can be accidental, but sending a post to a friend means the person was willing to spend a little of their own credibility on it.
You can see the total share count in your post insights, and Instagram does not tell you who did the sharing. The number is a measure of how far the post travelled, not a list of names.
Start at the minimum on one post
100 shares is the smallest shares order we take. Post link only, paid in pounds through PayPal, with the price shown in the table at the top of this page.
Why free shares tools do not work
The exchange kind works, technically, and costs more than it returns. You share strangers' posts to your own story to earn credits, your story fills with content your followers did not come for, and the shares you receive come from accounts doing exactly the same thing.
The generator kind asks for an Instagram login or a two-factor code. Handing those to a third party gives away the account, the direct messages inside it and anything connected to it, and no shares service needs that access, because delivery works from a public link.
There is also a size problem. Free offers hand over quantities small enough to demonstrate delivery and too small to change anything, which is what a sample is designed to do rather than a failure of the tool.
We do not offer free shares, a free trial or a sample order on any service. Saying that plainly is better than advertising something free and changing the terms at the checkout.
Make an announcement look like it travelled
A share count reads as a stronger signal than a like, because sending a post costs the sender something. Delivery starts within minutes and completes within 0-24 hours.
What genuinely earns shares, for nothing
People share posts that do a job for them. A post gets sent to a friend because it is useful to that friend, funny enough to be worth the interruption, or says something the sender wanted to say and could not phrase as well.
That means the shareable post is written for the sender, not for you. Before publishing, it is worth asking who would send this, and to whom, and what sending it says about them. If there is no answer, the post will get likes and stop there.
- Make it useful to somebody the viewer knows, not only to the viewer.
- Say the thing people agree with but have not put into words.
- Keep it short enough that sending it is not an imposition.
- Put the point in the first frame, because a share is judged in the preview.
- Ask for it plainly once in the caption; a direct request outperforms a hint.
For a launch post that has to move
This size suits a campaign post rather than a routine weekly one. Public account required for the whole delivery, with a thirty-day refill on every order.
Shares, saves and reposts are three different things
People use these words interchangeably and they are three separate actions with three different effects. Knowing which one you want decides which order to place and what to expect from it.
A share sends the post outward to another person or a story, so it reaches an account that had never seen it. A save keeps the post inward, privately, in the viewer's own collection for later. A repost puts the post publicly on the reposter's own profile, under their name.
The minimums differ too. Shares and saves both start at 100 here, while reposts start at 50, and all three take the link to the post or reel you want the engagement on.
- Share: sent to a person or a story, reaches a new account.
- Save: private bookmark, signals usefulness to Instagram.
- Repost: public, appears on the reposter's profile with their name on it.
- Shares from 100, saves from 100, reposts from 50.
What a paid shares order does
It raises the share count on one specific post, and that is the whole product. It does not add followers, it does not add comments, and it does not choose who the post goes to.
The value is in what the number signals. A post carrying shares reads as a post that travelled, and both Instagram's ranking and the next human reader treat travelled content differently from content that sat still.
It is worth most on the post you want to reach beyond your own followers: a launch, an announcement, a campaign piece or a reel you are already sending traffic to. It is worth least on a routine weekly post that nobody is being pointed at.
How a shares order works here
InstaBoost is a UK service selling Instagram followers, likes, reel views, story views, saves, shares and reposts, priced in pounds and paid through PayPal. There is no account to create here and no password is ever requested, because delivery works from the outside using the link you give.
A shares order starts at 100. You paste the link to the post or reel you want shared, choose a quantity, and pay in pounds, with the receipt arriving from PayPal rather than from us. Prices for each quantity sit in the table near the top of this page, taken from the same list the checkout charges from.
Delivery starts within minutes and orders complete within 0-24 hours, paced rather than dumped in one go. Every order carries a thirty-day refill, so if the count slips inside that month we top it back up on request.
The limits, stated plainly
The account must be public. Delivery reaches a post from the outside, so a private profile cannot receive an order at all, and switching to private mid-delivery is the usual reason an order looks stuck.
Leave the post up until delivery has finished. An order is placed against one specific link, so a post that is deleted or archived part way through cannot have its remaining shares redelivered somewhere else.
Some drop is possible on any engagement service, and nobody can promise Instagram will leave every share in place. The thirty-day refill is the honest answer to that rather than a claim that nothing ever moves.
Questions people ask before ordering
Can I get free Instagram shares?
Only through an exchange, where you share strangers' posts to your own story to earn credits, or through a generator that wants your Instagram login. The first clutters your story with content your followers did not come for, and the second asks for access no shares service needs. We do not offer free shares, a free trial or a sample order.
What counts as a share on Instagram?
A share is counted when somebody sends your post to another person in a direct message, or adds it to their own story. Both put your content in front of an account that had not seen it. You can see the total in your post insights, but Instagram never tells you who did the sharing.
What is the difference between a share and a save?
A share points outward: the post is sent to another person or added to a story, so it reaches a new account. A save points inward: one person bookmarks the post privately in their own collection for later. Shares spread a post; saves signal to Instagram that it is worth keeping.
How do I get more people to share my posts?
Write for the sender rather than the viewer. A post gets sent because it is useful to a friend, funny enough to be worth the interruption, or says something the sender agreed with but could not phrase. Keep it short, put the point in the first frame, and ask for the share plainly once in the caption.
What is the minimum shares order?
100 shares. You paste the link to the post or reel, choose a quantity, and pay in pounds through PayPal, with no account to create and no password requested. Delivery starts within minutes and the order completes within 0-24 hours.
Do you need my password to deliver shares?
No. Delivery works entirely from the outside using the public link to your post, so a password or a two-factor code is never needed. If any site asks for a login before delivering shares, that is the point to stop, because delivery does not require one.
What happens if I delete the post?
The remaining shares cannot be redelivered anywhere else, because the order is placed against one specific link. Leave the post up and the account public until delivery has finished, which takes up to 24 hours from the order.
